Darren Dowling

After graduating with a Food Science and Business degree at the University of Limerick in Ireland, Darren worked as a Quality Control officer within the food production industry for a global dairy company (DairyGold). Since moving to Australia in 2019, Darren made his way into recruitment within the FMCG industry where he applied his skills and experience to connect and consult with industry professionals. Darren is as passionate as ever and prides himself on building honest, genuine long-term partnerships with clients, candidates and colleagues.

Outside of work, Darren channels his energy into playing basketball with his team in Melbourne and keeping active.

What’s really important to you?
Asides from friends and family, the most important thing to me is having motives. Doing something which allows me to make a positive impact in other people’s lives. As well as, travelling, playing sport and of course a PINT OF GUINNESS!

What is something quirky about you?
I have never gotten chickenpox nor do I plan on getting them anytime soon.

What motivates you about the recruitment industry?
We put people into jobs and coach people through their careers, which plays a huge part in their lives. Ensuring that they understand what they are going into and making I love working with creative, similar minded people and recruiting for such a diverse range of brands. Being a people person, I also really enjoy the social aspect of helping Manufacturing and Technical professionals on a day-to-day basis and the rewarding feeling of partnering a great brand with serious talent!
